... Self Portrait. After seeing
Mandy's layout last week, I thought we'd do a Self Portrait challenge. I'm rarely in photos because I'm the one behind the lens, but I'm always a huge fan of self portraiture (is that a word?). There are so many wonderful, creative ways to capture your own image that there really is no excuse not to. In a mirror ... in a window's reflection ... using a timer. Inevitably, when I think of self portraits, I always go back to one that an online "friend" posted on her
blog literally one week before she was tragically taken from her family in a car accident.
It still brings tears to my eyes. So don't overthink it ... just grab your camera and snap away. Here's

I still Remember Aleida-she had sent me an email asking me to join her challenge site not too many weeks prior to her death...after that I truly tried to get in front of the camera more...
