"Believe" Projects ...

I haven't managed to finish even a single layout with this kit yet.  Thankfully, Sarah banged out a layout and a few cards in record time.

And ... Sarah was up for a quick visit on Friday night and brought her projects to display in the store.  The photos do them no justice at all.  Feel free to stop in to have a look at her fabulous creations.
Oh ... and you'll notice that Sarah is a hard core twine user.  Thanks to her prompting, we now have Twinery Twine available at the store by the yard or in 15 yard bundles.  Makes for beautiful finishing touches :)

December Kit "Believe"

Sorry all!  I've meant to post the December Kit before now but it was a wonderfully busy weekend at the store.  We had a great turnout for the Christmas Open House with a few late-night croppers on Friday night :)
This kit is filled to the brim with papers and a variety of embellishments for scrapbook layouts, but also for cards and December Daily pages (if you're completing one this year).

I stayed with a traditional Christmas palette ... deep reds, greens and creams with papers from Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas, My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas and a few from Bo Bunny Etcetera ...

November Kits

I'm just the teensiest bit late posting here.  I think the fact that the December kit product is on it's way reminded me that I hadn't shown off November.

While the last kits were more on the softer side, these kits feature the vibrant, rich hues of fall.

"Autumn's Embrace" contains lots of patterned papers from Crate Paper Farmhouse, Jillibean Sweet & Sour, Simple Stories Happy Day and Bo Bunny Forever Fall.

Again this month, both kits contain a sheet from the Pink Paislees Mistables line.

With great coordinating embellishments from American Crafts, Crate Paper, Bo Bunny, Jillibean Soup and Prima.

One of my favorite items from this kit is the Kraft Core cardstock from Coredinations.  Definately a product you'll want to try.

"Time & Tapestry" is the "prettier" side this month with more of a pink base than the red of the other side. 

Still pulling in the teals, yellows and oranges, are papers from Crate Paper Farmhouse and Random, Basic Grey Out of Print and Jillibean Sweet & Sour.

The embellishments include samplings from Basic Grey, Elle's Studio, Prima, Maya Road, Kaisercraft and K&Co.

"Autumn's Embrace" runs $32.50, "Time & Tapestry $36.50 and the two bundled together $63.00.

There are very few of the kits left, so if you were thinking about buying, I wouldn't wait :)

Holiday Card Series Link

Just real quick ... I've mentioned this blog to people over the past few weeks and thought I'd post a link here for anyone else that's interested.
I've been following Kristina Werner's blog for several years now, and her Holiday Card Series is always full of wonderful inspiration and I look forward to it each year.  She provides card videos (5 days a week for 5 weeks) ... completely free!  And what's more, is that she has links to the videos for the other years she's done it.  Definately worth checking out.  Do it now :)

Road Trip!

During the weekend of November 4th to 6th, several area scrapbook stores are participating in a Christmas Passport Road Trip.
Purchase you Trip Ticket for $35.00 and visit the following stores ...
   Memories on Main St. (2519B Min St., Lambeth)
   Stamp Shack (355 Wellington Street, Citiplaza, London)
   Scrapbook Memories (151 Pine Valley Blvd., London)
   Up The Street (2 Front Street West, Strathroy)
At each store, you will complete a mini class and take advantage of store specials only offered to ticket holders.
Tickets are available at each partipating stores.  Hours will vary at each store.  Your actual passport will be given to you on your first stop.

Kids' Mixed Media Mini Album Class

Ages 8 and up.

A 6x9 inch, hard cover album featuring patterned papers from Studio Calico, Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey. Customize your album by creating the covers and adding stamped images to the inside sheets. Finish your album by binding it yourself!

Kids` Layout Class

Kids' Layout Class (moved from original date of September 10th)

Saturday, September 17th ... 1:00 - 3:00 pm ... $15.00 per person (plus tax)
Ages 9 and up.
A layout to document those back to school photos.
Participants are required to bring their own adhesive.
It is helpful to bring a photo to the class, but not necessary.  A 4x6 photo will work, but a 5x7 photo would be ideal.
Receive a 10% discount on any supplies purchased that day.
Must be booked by September 13th.  Participants must also pre-pay by this date.

September Kits and Past Kit Sale

Hey Everyone :)
Just a quick update on the September kits ... I'm still waiting on the bulk of the product for these kits.  They include all new CHA items, and it seems to be taking a little longer to aquire them than I had planned.  Rather than substitute certain items, I'd rather wait and have the kits I had originally planned.  So I think we're looking at a mid-month release for this one.
If you need a "kit fix" before that and haven't already purchased one of the August kits, I'm down to two of the "Enjoy the Journey" kits and a few of the "Bookworm" kits.
Also, any past kits (not including August) still available will be marked down 15% until September 5th.

Fall Card Class Series

This card class series has been designed to help you create a well-stocked card inventory and get you started on your Christmas cards.

At each class, you will make a total of 12 cards (3 each of 4 designs).

Tuesday, September 13th ... All Occasion cards

Tuesday, October 4th ... All Occasion cards

Tuesday, November 1st ... Christmas cards

Tuesday, December 6th ... Christmas cards

By the end of the series, you will have created a total of 48 cards, half of which are Christmas.

The cost of the series is $100.00 plus tax (receive a 10% discount if the series is paid by September 1st) and is non-refundable. Upon payment, you will also receive a coupon valid for 20% off your entire scrapbook purchase to be used at a future date (may only be used once, no cash value).

The classes will take place from 7 until 10pm on each date. If there is enough interest, an afternoon class may be added.

We R Memory Keepers Travel Light

The Enjoy the Journey kit this month contains a few papers and a sweet little tag from the We R Memory Keepers Travel Light line.  One of the papers is die cut with a postal stamp border.

Lesley left on it as it was and added a few well placed embellishments ...

Heather replaced the center portion with another of the papers from the same line ...

Sarah's background is toned down with some neutral Cosmo Cricket patterned paper ...

And I trimmed off the die cut edge for yet another look ...

I've only got a few of these kits left.  If you think you want one, don't wait!

I think that "Junk Drawer" from Cosmo Cricket's Odd's & Ends line is one of my favorite papers in this month's kit.

Heather left hers whole and used it as the background in her layout ...

I love when you can get so many different looks from a single sheet of paper.

Happy Friday Everyone!  Super tired this morning (fun storm last night ... hydro off but not a whole lotta rain ... oh ... and a really loud frog outside that everyone thought was a sick racoon).  Can't type a proper sentence.  Off to the dentist shortly, but wanted to share this online class with everyone.  The video isn't specific to the class, but it gives you a little peek into Shimelle's philosophy ...

I've heard about Shimelle Laine for ages now, but have never looked her up until I saw a reference to this class on several blogs.  LOVE her ideas!  I've signed up for the class and have done the work for the first prompt (only about 9 prompts behind now).  It may take me awhile to get through it all, but I've read through the other prompts and am looking forward to the process.

Hey Gals!  July is certainly flying by.  Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays and have been able to squeeze in a bit of relaxation between running kids to camp and all of their summer activities.

The August kit is coming along nicely and will be revealed on August 1st.
